Hellinga, J. van Mierlo, and W. P. Gerritsen. Marijke Spies, ‘Van ‘‘vaderlandsch gevoel’’ tot Europees perspectief: De studie van de 17e- en 18e-eeuwse literatuur in de 19een 20e eeuw: En hoe verder?’ (69–83) concentrates on how 17th-c. and 18th-c. Dutch literary research changed over the two centuries, paying special attention to the works of Jan te Winkel.
