Editorial Tilburg Law Review 16 (2011) 105–112 © Koninklijke Brill NV, Leiden, 2011 DOI 10.1163/221125911X611026 brill.nl/tilr Editorial Victoria Daskalova Editor-in-Chief Abstract The present issue of the Tilburg Law Review: Journal of International and European Law is organized around two broad themes: globalization and integration. Considering EU integration, we have selected three contributions which present specifijic angles on this theme: the free movement of highly educated persons within the EU, the possible clash between EU migration rules and international obligations related to minority protection, and the possibility for expulsion of a Member State from the EU. Economic integration at the global level is our second theme for this volume. We had the opportunity to discuss this theme in the context of competition law with the international and comparative law scholar David Gerber from the Chicago-Kent College of Law, and we are pleased to present our readers with the transcript of our conversation. In addition to contextualizing the contributions to this issue, this editorial also includes a brief review of Professor Gerber’s recent book: Global Competition: Law, Markets and Globalization (Oxford University Press, 2010).
