Gjorge Ivanov is a professor at the oldest and most presti- gious law faculty in the country, at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. His 1998 PhD thesis addressed issues of democracy in divided societ- ies, and he has subsequently published a number of works on civil society and political theory in English, as well as Macedonian.
