NEW BOOK REVIEW EDITOR After many years of service to this journal, Professor Barbara Ann Chotiner of the University of Alabama will retire from her position as book review editor of this publication. I join the editorial staff of our journal in thanking her warmly for all her efforts to make this work an important source of info.rmation on the Soviet and post-Soviet world. Reviewers of books and publishers requesting review of their new releases should immediately direct their correspondence to our new book review editor: ' ' Professor Thomas Barran 417 16th Street Brooklyn, NY 11215 Those wishing to join our contingent of reviewers also should write Professor Barran at this address. FROM THE FILM REVIEW EDITOR Louis Menashe's film review article on "Festivals: Documentary Films in St. Petersburg," vol. 20, nos. 2-3 (1993), 241-44, contained a number of errors, which the film review editor regrets. The first sentence of the second paragraph of this article, p. 241, should read: "Gone now too were many of the cinema ambitions of those years, when Soviet studios were flushed...." The last sentence of the second paragraph, p. 243, should read: "Another cameraman working with Podnieks, Guido Zvaigne...." The fifth line, p. 244, should read: ".... Dave Davidson's Dancing Now (On Peg-Leg Bates) and Andrew Behar's Painting the Town...." Finally, the fourth sentence of the first paragraph, p. 244, should read: "... they did select an outstanding American film for competition: Andrew Young and Susan Todd's Children of Fate...."
