There have been a ttmnber uf purcly leciiiiical studies on liis morphology and lexis: synonynucs (adjectives and nouns). pulonisn?s, lmpa.v legomenu, tlialc?tisms, akaiiie-, and a very few - on his syntax.l At the same timc therc have been some. not very detaited, attempts at analyzing his style,2 But nonc of these works seem to give murr ihan a very broad uver- look, often little more than a string of somewhat superficial generalizations concerning the innovatory elements of his language.
