A revision of the genus Metrocoris Mayr (Heteroptera: Gerridae) in the Malay Archipelago and the... <jats:sec><jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>The genus Metrocoris Mayr is revised for the Malay Archipelago and the Philippines. Five new species are described: M. sunda from the Lesser Sunda Islands, M. borneensis and M. tigrinus from Borneo, M. celebensis from Celebes, and M. luzonicus from Luzon. Redescriptions are given for 5 species previously recorded from the region: M. philippinensis Den Boer, M. strangulator Breddin, M. tenuicornis Esaki, M. squamifer Lundblad, and M. nigrofasciatus Distant.
