Abstract
<jats:sec><jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>Fallén's nominal species of Anthomyiidae are revised. Primary types for all 27 species have been examined; these are deposited in the Naturhistoriska Riksmuseum, Stockholm (21), and in the Museum of Zoology, Lund (6). The nominal species of European Emmesomyia Malloch are revised and diagnostic features of the females are described and figured. — Emmesomyia socia (Fallén) is a valid, senior synonym of E. villica (Meígen); the name E. grisea (Robineau-Desvoidy) is proposed for E. socia auctt. (partim), nec Fallén. Pegomya laticornis (Fallén) is a valid, senior synonym of P. genupuncta Stein.</jats:p> </jats:sec>
