The description is based on a new species collected from a Belgian cave ("Nou-Maulin", Rochefort). For the first time, a mite is described with microscope photographs instead of traditional line drawings. The two methods are compared. A new typology is proposed for sensilli clusters and a key to the genera of the Ereynetinae is provided.
