Letter to the Editor

Letter to the Editor 399 Letter to the Editor The Editor, RSL: My "A Polish Introduction to the Theory of Civil Law; A Review Article in a Comparative Law Setting" was published in your No.4 1988 issue. The proofs of this article of 23 pages, with 75 footnotes, which required careful proofreading by the author as well, were unfortunately never sent to me. If proofs are not sent to the author, then, naturally, the editorial office of the journal in question takes upon itself the responsibility of doing a really perfect job. I regret to say that in the case of my article this was far from the case. I. I would like, first, to indicate a few of the pertinent omissions which abso- lutely spoil the text, asking the readers to kindly correct those things in their . copies. 1. On p.364, listing the five principles of civil law, the first and most fundamen- tal of them - the autonomy of the parties - was simply missed out. Please add, on p.364, line 8, after "Part II deals with five principles of civil law": the autonomy of the parties; 2. On p.367, top, the text was mangled by omitting several words. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Review of Socialist Law (in 1992 continued as Review of Central and East European Law) Brill
