CRICONEMA MICRODORUM N. SP. (NEMATODA: CRICONEMATIDAE) BY A. DE GRISSE Rijkslandbouwhogeschool, Gent, Belgium Soil collected around the roots of bamboo plants (Arundinaria alpina) growing in the Kivu Province of the Congo Republic, contained three females and one larva of a species belonging to the Criconematidae. The unusual features of the females make it difficult to place them in either Criconema or in Criconemoides. As the posterior edge of the annules of the females is crenated, the species is provisionally placed in Criconema. MATERIALS AND METHODS The specimens were recovered from the soil by the modified method of Oosten- brink described by De Maeseneer & D'Herde, 1963. The collected eelworms were fixed and transferred to glycerin by a modification of Seinhorst's method (De Grisse, in litt. ) . CRICONEMA MICRODORUM N. SP. *: T = tail. C.p. = conical part of stylet.
