PRELIMINARY PROGRAMME Monday, July 24: Arrival of participants Tuesday, July 25: Morning - Inaugural address Afternoon -- Lectures (Root-knot nematodes) Wednesday, July 26: Morning - Lectures (Cyst-forming nematodes) Afternoon - Lectures (Techniques) Visit to the Laboratories of the State Agricultural University Thursday, July 27: Morning - Lectures (free-living nematodes) Afternoon - Lectures (Systematics, Ecology, etc.) Visit to the State Plant Breeding Station (R.V.P.) Lemberge. Friday, July 28: - Whole day excursion: Visit to field trials. Ghent - Belgian Coast - Bruges - Ghent. The Symposium fee will be 200 Belgian Francs (members) or 240 B.F. (non-members). Titles to lectures, accompanied by summaries in French, English and German languages, are to be sent before April 1, 1961; applications to be sent before June 15, 1961 to the Secretary of the Symposium, c/o Rijkslandbouwhogeschool, Coupure Links 233, Ghent, Belgium. (n..r.) 45) In accordance with a decision of the 13th International Congress of Zoology, 1948, public notice is hereby given of the possible use by the International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature of its plenary powers in connection with the following cases, full details of which will be found in Bulletin of Zoological Nomenclature, Vol. 17, Parts 9/11 to be published on 16th September 1960. Designation of a type-species for the nominal genus Bl,mkaartia Oudemans, 1911 (Nematoda) Z.N.(S.) 330 Anyone who wishes to comment on the above should write in duplicate as soon as possible giving the reference number of the case in question. Comments received early enough will be published in the Bulletin of Zoological Nomenclature. Those received too late for publication will, if received before 16th December 1960, be brought to the attention of the Commission at the time of commencement of voting.
