182 New Work of Rembrandt by J. G. VAN GELDER. A short commentary upon four paintings which have become known during the past year as works of Rembrandt. 1. The raising of Lazarus, dated 1624. 2. Study of a head, probable date 1626, the year of Tobit and his wife (Bredius 486), coll. Thyssen, Lugano. 3. A landscape, approx. 1638-40, made known by G. Isarlo in "Arts" of 23 May, 1947. 4. A landscape, in private possession in Switzerland, probably dating from 1635, and first published by the author in the Burlington Mag., 1948, p. 18. De Maria=Hemelvaart van Albrecht Bouts door W. M. STARING. In het Museum van Schoone Kunsten te Brussel bevindt zich onder het t nummer 534 een groot drieluik, voorstellende een Maria-Hemelvaart. JL Volgens het onderschrift aangebracht op het drieluik en den catalogus stelt het rechterzijluik voor: de schilder zelf n.l. Albrecht Bouts en zijn echt- genoote Elisabeth de Nausnydere of Nausnyders. Het linkerzijluik het ver- moedelijke portret van Hendrik van der Bruggen bijgenaamd Metten Gelde, oom van moeders zijde van Albrecht Bouts.
