Wij meenen, dat eerder bij dergelijke gevallen van gelijke stijlopvattingen of ook wel van een verwante psychische gesteldheid bij den beeldhouwer sprake is. De ontleeningen van beeldhouwers aan de werken hunner collega's vallen uiteraard buiten ons onderwerp; wij spreken dan van school of atelier. Late Mediaeval Sculpture and its derivatives, by J. Besides the carvings for the choir-stalls, at Bolsward, which are taken from block-books and the ornamental carvings on a beam in the Rijks Museum, at Amsterdam, after Lucas van Leyden's wood-cuts of soldiers, there was no example in the Netherlands of any piece of carving taken from a print except the statue of St. Christopher, at Bocholt, taken from a wood-cut by Jobst de Negker, here discussed for the first time.
