History - published since 1972 (in A4 format) as Exchange: Bulletin of Third World Christian Literature - in 1987 the title changed in order to include the ecumenical concern of IIMO: Exchange: Bulletin of Third World Christian Literature and Ecumenical Research - since 1990 the title has been: Exchange: Journal of Missiological and Ecumenical Research; the format changed from A4 to 23 x 17 cm. - since 1996 the journal has been published by Brill Academic Publishers in Leiden, but the editorial board has remained with the IIMO staff (until 1995 in Leiden, since then in Utrecht as part of the Theological Faculty of Utrecht University) - until 1997 the journal was published three times per year; since 1998 it is published quarterly. - editor: Gerdien Verstraelen-Gilhuis (1972-1973); Lenny Lagerwerf (1973-1994); Karel Steenbrink (1994- present). 2.
