Pobee* Hebrews 13:8 "Jesus Christ is the same today as he was yesterday and as he will be forever." "Come, Jesus, Lord and Savior, to stand in our midst, like you did by the Galilean Sea and in the midst of the crowds, to offer us a challenge with your Word, even if echoed by a mortal like me. Come, God Creator of the World and all that is in it, who sent your son Jesus to speak your Word to recreate the world and to renew humankind. Come, Holy Spirit, Spirit of God vouchsafed us at the intercession of Jesus; come to sustain and preserve us and your whole church. Amen." Scientific Exploration In the past few days we in the International Association for Mission Studies have been consulting on the theme "Reflecting Jesus Christ: Crucified and Living in a Broken World." As I see it, the theme picks up something of the words of Hebrews 13:8: "Jesus Christ is the same today as he was yesterday and as he will be for ever."
