25 YEARS OF THE SCANDINAVIAN REVIEW OF INTERNATIONAL LAW AN ACKNOWLEDGMENT On the 26th of February 1930 the present Review issued its first number, and consequently on the 26th February of the current year 25 years had passed since the Review saw the light of day. Owing to the printers' strike in 1947 the two years 1947-48 had to be com- bined in one double-year, appearing as the year XVIII, comprising both the said years In consequence hereof the Review only enters upon its 25th year by the publication of the present issue On the threshold hereof it will only be right and natural for me as one of the founders of the Review to pay tribute to the memory of the two late co-founders, viz. Minister Rafael Erich, Finland, and Professor, dr juris Axel Moller, Denmark, and to express my thanks to the three co-founders still alive, viz Mr Einar Arndrsson, then Professor, now Judge of the Supreme-court, Iceland, Professor, now also Rector of the University of Oslo, Frede Castberg and the then Rector of the University of Upsal, later Chancellor of the Swedish Universities, now Swedish Foreign Minister Osten Unden, for having lent their names in
