NOTE ADDED IN PROOF In a recent paper, that came to my (JCvVK's) knowledge only after the previous issue of Crus- taceana had already been sent to the printer's, Markhaseva (1996: 253) designates Pseudochirella obesa G. O. Sars, 1920, as the type-species of Pseudochirella. Fortunately, we had both selected the same species for this purpose. However, as her designation (Markhaseva, 1996) was published prior to mine (Von Vaupel Klein, 1996; see above), hers takes precedence, which obviously means that Markhaseva's paper has to be cited henceforth as subsequently designating a type-species for this genus.
