BIOLOGIE DE LA REPRODUCTION DE PORCELLIONIDES PRUINOSUS (BRANDT, 1833) ISOPODE TERRESTRE DE GARAT NÂAM (TUNISIE) BREEDING BIOLOGY OF THE TERRESTRIAL ISOPOD, PORCELLIONIDES PRUINOSUS (BRANDT, 1833) AT GARAT NÂAM (TUNISIA) PAR MOHAMED SGHAÏER ACHOURI et FAOUZIA CHARFI-CHEIKHROUHA 1 / Laboratoire de Biologie Animale, Faculté des Sciences de Tunis, 2092 Manar II, Tunisie ABSTRACT The breeding biology of the woodlouse, Porcellionides pruinosus (Brandt, 1833) from a natural population at Garat Nâam (Kasserine, Tunisia) has been studied based on monthly sampling carried out from July 1996 to June 1998. The presence of undifferentiated and reproductive females shows that the year cycle of Porcellionides pruinosus is characterized by a reproduction period followed by a sexual rest. Reproduction usually begins in March/April and continues until October. The fecundity and fertility values show a great variation in the number of eggs or embryos contained in the marsupium. This number is correlated with the length of the reproductive female. The sex- ratio underwent uctuations throughout the sampling period, but always remained skewed in favour of females. RÉSUMÉ La biologie de la reproduction de Porcellionides pruinosus (Brandt, 1833) a été analysée à partir d’une population naturelle de Garat Nâam (Kasserine). Elle a été menée à partir
