SEH News Amphibia-Reptilia – Editorial Report 2012 In 2012, 138 manuscripts were submitted, a higher number compared to 2010 and 2011, respectively, even if the former record of the year 2009 (n = 149) was not reached. The manuscripts originated from all continents worldwide with the majority from Europe (36%) and South-America (30%), while the relative number of submissions from South-America increased slightly since several years. Asia and North America are also well represented (16% and 13%, respectively). Corresponding authors came from 35 countries; the top five of which are Brazil, United States, Argentina, China and Italy. In Europe, manuscripts originated from Italy (8), Germany (6), Portugal (5), Spain (5), France (4), Hungary (3), Poland (3), Switzerland (3), Belgium (2), the Netherlands (2), Slovakia (2), Czech Republic (1), Estonia (19, Romania (1), Serbia and Montenegro (1), Slovenia (1), Sweden (1) and United Kingdom (1). The ISI impact factor of Amphibia-Reptilia declined slightly to 0.680, however, the 5-year impact factor is with 1.074 stable and ranks Amphibia-Reptilia among the Top-herpetological journals. Out of the total submissions, 41% of the manuscripts were accepted for publication, a slightly lower proportion compared to previous years.
