HURTADO: Text-Critical Methodology and the Pre-Caesarean Text: Codex W in the Gospel of Mark, (Studies and Documents, 43), pp. x + 100, Wm. B. Eerdmans, 1981, Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA. (=HW) These two books are reviewed together because HW owes some of its inspiration to Metzger and its subject would easily fall within the scope of BM. Hurtado's con- tribution to BM, in order that his two works may be reviewed together, is taken with HW. The beginning of BM contains a Curriculum Vitae and a bibliography of Metzger's writings. It is followed by 29 papers, the core of the book and by the ap- propriate indexes. Most of the papers are noticed in this review. I have also made a few comments on my own contribution. A. F. J. Klijn "Matthew 11:25/Luke 10:21" (1-14) discusses the textual varia- tions in detail and makes interesting comments on the meaning of e?o?o?o7ou?av. J. Smit Sibinga, "Matthew
