SHORT NOTES SACHARJA IX 9. EIN NEUER ÜBERSETZUNGSVORSCHLAG In seinem Artikel "Recherches sur le livre de Zacharie" 1) hat E. LIPINSKI klar gezeigt, daB in Sach. ix 9 nicht 'demütig - humble' heil3en kann. Doch ist sein Vorschlag, statt MT (änî - 'demütig' den Imperativ (enî - 'Singe! - Chante!' zu lesen, m.E. wenig uberzeugend. Nach F. CRTSEMANN, Studien Formgeschichte von Hymnus und Danklied in Israel, (WMANT 32) Neukirchen-Vluyn 1969, pp. 55-65, haben wir es in Sach ix 9 mit einem imperativischen Hymnus, genauer mit einem 'Aufruf zur Freude' zu tun; man erwartet darum, der Gattung entsprechend, nach dem hinnih nicht mehr eine neue Auf£orderung, wie es jedoch LrPiNSKi iibersetzt: "chante celui ...". Ich wirde vorschlagen, Partizip von (nh - 'erobern, trium- phieren' 2) zu lesen. Das scheint gut in den Kontext zu passen. In diesem Fall hatten wir eine archaische Schreibweise mit jod, wie sie auch sonst bei Partizipien der Verba ldmed jod begegnet 3). Bei der Lesart LIPIrrSKIS macht das waw vor (al in v 9c Schwierig- keiten, die entfallen, wenn man es als ein waw explicativum ansieht 4). ist feminine Singularendung 5). Die Übersetzung lautet demnach: "Gerecht und siegreich ist er 6), triumphierend und reitend auf einem Esel, (namlich) auf einem Eselshengst, dem Fullen einer Eselin". ' Gerleve B. KÖHLER 1 V.T.
