Call for Papers: Humans and Animals Proteus: A Journal of Ideas Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania For Spring 2007, Proteus seeks articles that examine the relationships between humans and animals from a wide range of perspectives and disciplines. Articles may discuss wild or domesticated animals; they may encompass multiple human societies and animal species; or they may focus on the interactions between an individual human and animal. Submissions may include, but are not limited to, articles and essays written by scientists, humanists, historians, social scientists, and literary scholars. The journal especially encourages articles that span multiple disciplines. Poetry and art are accepted. Deadline for manuscripts is October 2, 2006. Publication date is April 2007. Manuscripts must be typed and double-spaced. Preferable length of articles is 2,000 to 5,000 words. Longer papers will be considered.
