From an ontology designed primarily to account for insight and apprehension, he moves to an ontology that provides the metaphysical foundations for theory, the analysis of selected abstract elements and their systematic interrelation. He also moves from an ethical theory that presents paradigms to one that presents rather recipes for types of successful living.
