The new fuel and lubricating oil test engine, designed to the specification drawn up by the Engine Research Panel of the Institute of Petroleum has been made by the firm of Sir Harry Ricardo and was demonstrated for the first time to the public on the stand of ShellMex & B.P. Ltd. Several tests hitherto requiring more than one engine, can be carried out in the minimum of time. Illustration shows the engine through the inspection window.
