THE Flying Display and Exhibition organized annually by the Society of British Aircraft Constructors has rapidly become one of the highlights of the year, not only for the British Aircraft Industry, but for world aviation generally. Aviation people from all over the world come to Britain to sec the results of that country's effort in aircraft design and productionand a magnificent effort it isthereby providing a welcome opportunity for the exchange of opinions on an international basis between aircraft technicians and operators. The main purpose of the show is, of course, to stimulate the sale of British aircraft and equipment, especially on the export market, but the value of an occasion like this for meeting old friends and making new ones, thereby strengthening the relations between people from different countries who learn to appreciate each other's work and opinions, should not be underestimated.
