Planes, construction of.Aircraft wings are made of symmetrical crosssection or symmetrical in outline and design and provided with attachment means to enable port and starboard wings or upper and lower wings to be interchangeable. Where the wings are of laterally symmetrical outline, Fig. 8, they may be provided with ailerons K. L. at each end, those ailerons L, which for the time being are adjacent to the body or central wing section being locked against movement, or the ailerons may extend along the whole trailing edge. Detachable curved tips may be provided for symmetrical wings having straight ends.
