LATEXCEMENTS For many years rubber has been employed to combat corrosion in numerous industries and new applications are continually being found for this versatile material. The accepted method of using rubber has, however, been in the form of sheet linings to concrete or metal tanks, etc., or as structures either constructed from or lined with ebonite. The modern corrosion engineer, however, has rubber at his disposal in yet another form, namely as one of the basic raw materials for a member of the acidresisting cement group, i.e. the latexcements. These cements, whilst being comparative newcomers to this field, have proved their worth under many widely varying conditions.
