Abstract
This paper proposes locational ambidexterity as location-specific factor based on an operation flexibility-perspective, and explores how multinational corporations proactively deal with uncertainty by valuing locational ambidexterity in making location decisions revealing that foreign direct investment prefers locations with high ambidexterity.
