A Methodology for the Design and Implementation of Resilient CAPM Systems

A Methodology for the Design and Implementation of Resilient CAPM Systems In 1986 a comprehensive study into the state of the art in ComputerAided Production Management CAPM in UK industry commissioned by theACME Application of Computers to Manufacturing Engineering directorateof the Science and Engineering Research Council SERC revealed a numberof deficiencies in existing CAPM systems and approaches. As aconsequence of this report, a number of specific sectors were identifiedincluding the small company sector, large company sector, make to ordersector and the electronics sector. This article outlines the results ofthe work of the research team engaged in developing a CAPMimplementation methodology for the electronics sector, which was thelargest of the ACME CAPM projects. The research team believe that theresults are equally applicable for CAPM implementation in othermanufacturing sectors. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png International Journal of Operations & Production Management Emerald Publishing

Abstract

In 1986 a comprehensive study into the state of the art in ComputerAided Production Management CAPM in UK industry commissioned by theACME Application of Computers to Manufacturing Engineering directorateof the Science and Engineering Research Council SERC revealed a numberof deficiencies in existing CAPM systems and approaches.
