Claims that many attempts to introduce teamworking within organizations fail, and asserts that this is largely due to the underlying corporate culture; maintains that many organizations still have a hierarchical structure and use management practices which are incompatible with the concept of teamworking, and avers that teams require certain cultural characteristics to succeed.
