Keeping pace with change: new contracts and responsibilities

Keeping pace with change: new contracts and responsibilities A survey of individuals and organizations was undertaken to assess how the changing world of work ‐ in terms of delayering, outsourcing, IT, etc., is affecting the preparedness of people to deal with these changes. Responses were received from 184 individuals and 300 organizations. Areas covered included personal career management and organizational support for career management and development. The surprising finding was that individuals seemed more complacent and less prepared to meet these changes than organizations ‐ the latter made no great claims to be able to provide appropriate support in the future. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Industrial and Commercial Training Emerald Publishing
