Key PointsQuestionAre sociodemographic characteristics associated with the frequency of “not relevant” responses on the Dermatology Life Quality Index among patients with psoriasis? FindingsThis cross-sectional study of a cohort of 1733 patients with psoriasis found that the frequency of “not relevant” responses on the Dermatology Life Quality Index was associated with patients’ sociodemographic characteristics. Specifically, single and widowed or divorced marital status and unemployed or disabled employment status were each associated with increased odds of “not relevant” responses. MeaningMore frequent “not relevant” responses among patients with certain sociodemographic characteristics may indicate an underestimation of psoriasis severity and thus potential undertreatment among specific patient groups.
