TÆNIA IN INFANCY.

TÆNIA IN INFANCY. Dubuque, Iowa, August 29, 1884. Editor of Journal of American Medical Association: In your paper of the 23rd inst., Dr. J. R. Wilkins reports a case of tænia in a child 2½ years old. In my notes of Prof. Monti's lectures, held at the Vienna Poliklinik in the winter of 1878-79, I find mention of a case, said to have occurred in this country, where the infant was only 4 weeks old. To explain the occurrence of tænia at such an early age, it was supposed that the fœtus had swallowed a cysticercus floating in the liquor amnii.
