Abstract I have been editor of AJDC since January 1983, a span of 10 years. Because I will assume the position of chancellor of the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, Denver, effective March 1, 1993,I am retiring as editor of AJDC. James J. Corrigan, Jr, MD, will be interim editor until the search process for a new editor is complete. This decade has been one of exhilaration and joy in my editorship of this important pediatric journal. I have been privileged to work with some of the finest people in our discipline. Naming all of them would involve the risk of leaving out critical persons, but I do want to cite a few of the people who made this job so enjoyable and productive. Jim Corrigan has been with AJDC continuously, serving principally as associate editor and substituting for me when appropriate. His assistance has been invaluable.
