About five years ago, conscious of the need for the treatment and rehabilitation of underprivileged children suffering from acute bronchial asthma and other refractory diseases of the upper respiratory tract, the National Home for Jewish Children at Denver undertook the care of such patients, for nowhere else in the country is there a place for children with such intractable conditions when a physician recommends a change in climate and environment.
