We recently saw a 12 year old girl whose complaint was fecal incontinence since birth. Her combination of anomalies was unique in our experience, and a search in the literature has failed to reveal any report of a duplicate condition. The rarity of the abnormality and the success of the treatment devised to remedy the distressing incontinence make it worthy of report. REPORT OF A CASE C. L. H., a 125/12 year old school girl, was referred to one of us (W. E. L.) in the summer of 1942 with the complaint of fecal incontinence from birth. The child was born at the Providence Lying-In Hospital, Providence, R. I., at full term by normal delivery. Her weight at birth was 7 pounds 6 ounces (3,348 Gm.). The infant was of good color, and there were no postnatal disturbances. On the third day after birth she was first noted to have
