Abstract • Polycystic (dysgenetic) disease of the parotid glands is a recently described developmental disorder of the distal duct system of the glands. Apparently limited to the parotid glands and to females, polycystic disease has a characteristic clinical presentation and a distinctive, if not pathognomonic, histopathologic appearance. Three new cases are added to three in the literature to increase awareness of the entity and reduce misdiagnosis. (Arch Otolaryngol Head Neck Surg 1988;114:1146-1148) References 1.
