Abstract This book is an introductory text for the diseases of the ears, nose, throat and related structures. It is designed for use by medical students in their clinical years, general practitioners, and first-year otolaryngology residents. The book is organized with an introductory section followed by sections devoted to each anatomical region, ie, the ear, the nose and paranasal sinuses, and the larynx. The organization throughout the book is consistent, concise, and easy to follow. The illustrations consist of some photographs and many line drawings by the author. The line drawings are basic. Some are difficult to interpret. I find them less useful than more detailed drawings and illustrations. The overall content of this volume is sufficient to meet the goals as stated in the preface of the book. The more common disease entities are well covered.
