Abstract This supplement, no. 3 of the British Journal of Radiology, contains the paper delivered at the meeting of the British Institute of Radiology, held in London in 1947, and a paper entitled "A Statistical Report on Cases Treated with X Rays Only," by R. W. Gunderson, of the Meyerstein Institute of Radiotherapy. This monograph fulfils the two fold purpose for which it was conceived, namely, to show the importance of clinical and radiological examination with respect to prognosis and interpretation of results and to discuss the various methods of roentgen ray therapy of the larynx in the light of the five year survival figures. The material is presented in ten large sections: classification of laryngeal cancers; cancer of the vestibule; cancer of the true cord; subglottic cancer; laryngoscopic views of various lesions; radiographic pictures; histology; statistics; roentgen therapy and physical factors in technic.
