Abstract D. B. was a well developed man 34 years old and married, with no children. He complained of chronic progressive deafness of both ears for the ten years before examination, with tinnitus aurium. The tinnitus was of high pitch, constant and of the same intensity in the two ears. When he was 2 years old meningitis developed, but the hearing remained good. Deafness was first observed after the World War in which he served at the front. He has had sixteen fractures up to the time of writing. The first fracture occurred when he was 2 years old; he sustained a broken leg in falling from a chair with the leg caught between the rungs. At 6 years he was struck by a brick, which broke his nose. At 11 years he broke the left tibia by accident in a gymnasium. At 13 his left elbow was broken when he References 1.
