Lass, MD, Appointed Chairman. Jonathan H. Lass, MD, has been appointed the first chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology at Case Western Reserve University and director of the Department of Ophthalmology, University Hospitals of Cleveland, Ohio, effective April 1, 1994. The Department of Ophthalmology was constituted from a division in July 1991. Dr Lass, the Charles I. Thomas Professor of Ophthalmology, had been in the division since 1979 and acting chairman of the department since March 1993. New Officers Elected. The New York (NY) Society for Clinical Ophthalmology recently announced the election of its new officers. The new officers are Stanley Chang, MD, president; Ronald M. Burde, MD, program chairman; Kevin C. Greenidge, MD, membership chairman; Thomas O. Muldoon, MD, treasurer; Andrew M. Prince, MD, recording secretary; Janet B. Serle, MD, corresponding secretary; and Eric D. Donnenfeld, MD, historian. Carmen A.
