RETINAL INVOLVEMENT IN HEREDITARY HEMORRHAGIC TELANGIECTASIA-Reply

RETINAL INVOLVEMENT IN HEREDITARY HEMORRHAGIC TELANGIECTASIA-Reply This article is only available in the PDF format. Abstract To the Editor. —To our knowledge, the paper "Retinal Involvement in Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia" (Arch Ophthal85:618-623, 1971) by Dr. Davis and myself was the first case of retinal involvement in Rendu-Osler-Weber disease reported in the American ophthalmic literature. We were incorrect in stating the "American literature," and should like to apologize to Dr. Forker and Dr. Bean for not citing their case. The paper "Retinal Arteriovenous Aneurysm in Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia" by E. L. Forker and W. B. Bean (Arch Intern Med111:778, 1963) is an excellent one. Their colored fundus photograph is superb, and the attention of ophthalmologists interested in this disease should be drawn to their beautiful illustration. Many thanks to Dr. Bean for bringing this report to our attention! http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Archives of Ophthalmology American Medical Association
