Abstract This two volume collection of the papers read at the 20th International Congress held in Munich in 1966 should be in all ophthalmic libraries. Its 251 scientific papers include something of interest to every ophthalmologist, although emphasis was on two main themes, (1) anatomy and pathology of the retinal circulation, and (2) uveitis in childhood. Reports are presented from symposia on retinal detachment, electroretinography, biochemistry of the eye, diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, and strabismus.
