Abstract To the Editor: It is with a feeling of great sadness and surprise that I read the misspelled name of the father of modern ophthalmology on the cover sheet and on page 604 of your November issue. Please be advised that Fuchs means "the fox" in German. If you deprive him of the "s," it means nothing. Foreign names should not be mistreated, just because they end with an "s."
