Abstract In this profusely illustrated volume of over 700 pages, the author presents his personal experience and views based on 4,500 juvenile, infant, and newborn patients. He presumes the reader to be well versed in general concepts and terminology of adult neuroradiology. The chapters deal with normal neuroradiographic anatomy, trauma, hydrocephalus, tumors, vascular diseases, and infectious diseases of the brain and its coverings with a final short chapter by Harvey White on the normal skull. On opening the book, it is apparent that an unconventional approach has been used by omitting captions to the illustrations, although there is scanty labelling of some of the multicolored line diagrams. The illustrations are referred to in the text, but frequently the relevant paragraph is several pages away. Very few of the illustrations are described or analyzed in detail and there are several illustrations that appear more than once.
