Endocrine Complications of the Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome

Endocrine Complications of the Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome Abstract Endocrine syndromes in human immunodeficiency virus infection, although not as common as infectious, renal, or neurologic manifestations, are now more frequently recognized. These include unique thyroid function abnormalities, adrenal insufficiency, electrolyte abnormalities, hypogonadotrophic hypogonadism, and multiple endocrine side effects of medications used to treat complications of human immunodeficiency virus infection.
