Abstract This volume is a compilation of reports presented at a symposium held in Padova, Italy, in September 1971. Except for two presentations by members of Chester Beatty's group in London and one from Jean Bernard's group in Paris, all are from Italian investigators. The individual reports largely represent clinical trials of individual and combination chemotherapeutic agents in relatively small patient series. The two-year delay in publication of the volume has had a serious effect on the data, since far more extensive clinical and pharmacologic studies of the agents discussed now have been published. The present text offers little of value to either the investigator of the practicing clinician. In addition, troublesome phonetic spelling and the relatively high cost of the volume limit its interest. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Archives of Internal Medicine American Medical Association
