Clues to Diagnosis in Dermatopathology, Volume 2

Clues to Diagnosis in Dermatopathology, Volume 2 This article is only available in the PDF format. Download the PDF to view the article, as well as its associated figures and tables. Abstract In extralarge pages of beautifully detailed color photomicrographs, a brief text, and some clinical photographs, Bernard Ackerman and two of his coworkers at New York (NY) University provide a second collection of clues to microscopic diagnosis in dermatopathology. Starting in the stratum corneum and working down, a single photomicrograph without any caption provides a clue to the diagnosis of a particular disease, followed by additional pictures at different magnifications, an explanation, and a brief discussion with an occasional reference. Since the 100 conditions illustrated are a seemingly random assortment of neoplastic and inflammatory diseases, the effect on the reader is as if he were a visitor to the laboratory during a daily signout. Such a visit would be an exciting opportunity for a neophyte or experienced dermatopathologist to learn the tricks of a master. Ackerman succeeds in reproducing such an experience in book form. An alphabetic index enables the book http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Archives of Dermatology American Medical Association
