A Draining Arm Lesion in a Female Adult

A Draining Arm Lesion in a Female Adult Abstract REPORT OF A CASE A 76-year-old woman presented with a draining lesion on her right arm that had been present for three to four months. It began as a bruise, which she believed she acquired from a fall, and then enlarged, developed blisters, and drained. The patient had no systemic complaints. Her medical history included breast cancer for which she had received a right radical mastectomy and postoperative radiation 22 years previously. She reported developing chronic swelling in her arm soon after surgery. There had been no sign of recurrence of her breast cancer over the years. The results of a physical examination were within normal limits, except for the absence of the right breast with a surgical scar on the right anterior aspect of the chest, enlargement of the right arm relative to the left, and a 12 × 24-cm violaceous area that contained draining bullae on her upper References 1.
