He has induced a substantial, all-English cast to write the 15 diverse chapters that comprose Modern Topics in Paediatric Dermatology. It arrives at a time when several other books on pediatric dermatology are on or near the market (authored or edited by Solomon, Esterly, Weston, Weinberg, Ruiz-Maldonado, and Hurwitz). This provides the reader interested in pediatric dermatology with choices that were not previously available. This book, however, does not travel well from England to the United States. It is not fair to criticize it for being provincial, but such a criticism is mandatory when the book is offered to American physicians.
